Hey everyone, I'm Mel. I'm nineteen and have an odd array of interests that I'm quite proud of. After all, what's the fun in being normal when you can be different and interesting? My motto for life is a Dr. Seuss quote: "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." I have a serious addiction to books and take at least one with me everywhere I go. I wrote my first story when I was nine and I'm always looking to improve, so constructive criticism is appreciated. I'm always busy and don't get much time to practice writing so please go easy on my stories. I mostly only write fantasy. I'm a psych major at university and am considering a minor in gender and women's studies or maybe philosophy. My younger brother and I memorized Morse code in three days for the fun of it. We also learned Braille (although we're not blind) because why not? Some day we might learn sign language as well. I know 100 digits of pi, but my brother kicks my butt in that area - he knows around 1300 digits right now (1300!!!!) and wants to beat the world record for most digits memorized. I've wanted to learn French for years and hope to take courses for it soon (if anyone has tips for learning a second language I would love to hear them!). I listen to Disney songs and movie soundtracks (Pirates of the Caribbean, How to Train Your Dragon, Avatar, etc.). I love photography. I'm also into soccer, karate (I'm a blue belt in shotokan karate), badminton, and tap (I've been dancing for 14 years I think). I know I just told a lot, but whatever. This is a profile after all. Now you know stuff about me. Hopefully I didn't bore you!
Storygames
This is my first story on here, so please bear with me if it's not that good. Since it's my first one, I'm making this more to teach myself how to make games on here rather than tell a detailed story. Therefore, this is more of a game than a story, with little description or character development. The goal of this game is to find your way out of Eternity Forest after you wake up with no memory of how you got there.
You wake up in an unfamiliar room with no memory of who you are or how you got there. You need to escape. But can you find your way out of this strange place? Or will you be forever lost?
Disclaimer: This story is my adaptation of an app/game on the App Store called Forever Lost, which is part of a trilogy of games. All rights go to Glitch Games, the maker of these games. Some parts have been changed because it isn't possible to make some of the puzzles with this website. If you enjoy escape games, I highly recommend the Forever Lost trilogy. They are by far the best escape games I've played, which is why I decided to adapt them into storygames on here.

HELP - Uploading Pictures on 6/18/2016 12:47:19 PM
Hi everyone, I'm pretty new here and I'm having problems uploading pictures to this site. Every time I try to upload one this message appears: "There was an error while processing your upload. The file may have been too big; the maximum size is 100,000 bytes." I've read the article about uploading pictures, so I also understand that the maximum width is 550 pixels and the maximum height is 600 pixels. How can I edit my pictures so that they match these limits for size and resolution so I can upload them?
Help on this would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks in advance!
HELP: 2nd Person vs. 1st Person Perspective? on 3/27/2016 7:00:20 PM
I'm about to start writing my first storygame and I'm unsure about which perspective to choose (first or second). The traditional CYOA books were all written in 2nd person, but I've always preferred 1st person. As I haven't had much time recently to read many stories on here yet to see what most are like (I will though before I start writing), I thought I'd ask now just to get some opinions. Do you prefer reading stories written in the traditional 2nd person perspective or are you okay with reading one in 1st person?
