The WHOISONLINE thing changes only when you refresh the page.
If you were autologged out (session timeout), then you refreshed, you would probably be autologged in .... thereby putting you in the list.
What I think happens, is that someone else logs out and it takes your anme off the list. But I looked in the code and didn't see how that could happen .........
