I think there should be a place for mods and admins to chat in a place where they can and won't disrupt the other people in posting. Mabey make a copy of the lounge in the mod area? Of couse you would have to put a block on the showable posts from the mod thread.

I agree -- but right now the forums really aren't supportive of that.

I know, well, put it in the moderation area and put up a rule stating that all non-mod/admins that post in there (by the way deleted forums were found) will be banned or suspended for a few days.

Put it in the moderation and make it so that posts there aren't recorded in the lookup area.

It's possible to do that if you change the code a little bit.

i think i came up with this before but mine was even more expanded version. Like not only mods, but a private set of forums etc.

seriously, what do you need this for, its a storygame site, we dont need a "private" forum that separates us from regular members. A moderator is a person who assists in problems and technical aspects of a forum/chat/discussion/debate (not only on the internet), having a moderator status does not make you "special", it means you have earned trust from, in this case, the owner to handle part of *his* site. This reply also falls under a few other threads like the Web communities project thread.

The reason this is nice to have is so that you can have discussions like the one Temp Thread.

It'll come when I redo the forums -- and it's one of those things thats not meant for bragging (in fact, I'd hope that you wouldn't even really say it exists to the other members) -- just to help communicate.

Yep, makes sense. Except that all members can read this. So you mayaswell accept it and get it off the mainstream.
