i have been working on a story game that has a need for armor, health, weapons, food, magic. i also must add that i have no experience with scripting what so ever and would much appreciate some direct examples on how to program these things while also keeping them compatible with the inventory header. any help here would be much appreciated. thx

Start by reading Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Scripting Articles in the Help & Info section (see to left of screen).

I also recommend that you set up your own Test Game to try stuff out in. Scripting allows you to do some really powerful things in your games, but it does require a lot of effort to actually implement.
