A place to sit back, hang out, and make monkey noises about anything you'd like.

Today, a friend of mine introduced me to a live-action Japanese TV show called Garo. It's basically your classic "chosen one fighting against hordes of demons", but with werewolf power rangers. The effects so far are shit, but I've seen stuff that would never make it to American Screens: demons with visible female parts, pedophilia jokes, attractive actors, etc.

While my feelings towards it are ambiguous, it is certainly unlike anything I have watched before. Has anyone else heard of or watched this show?

Nope. Sounds interesting though.

I’ve seen some clips of weird Japanese show before, but haven’t heard of that one.

Welp.

Japan's at it again.

As if they ever stopped.

They have to take occasional breaks to rape the Chinese or see how long they can keep disembodied dog heads alive.

Damn, my incredibly insensitive jokes are gone.

I should probably learn when to quit.

But I won't and will probably lose a lot of points.

Like how Donald Trump lost points with Muslims and Fat Chicks.

Japan sure has a fetish for over-the-top transformation sequences. I mean, look at this shit. They turned the Powerpuff Girls from normal, "have superpowers all the time" girls into weird, Japanese, "normal people until they spend 30 seconds gesticulating wildly" girls.

It's because it's reusable content to pump episodes out faster.

Well, Japanese animation is considered "lazy" compared to western animation, so that makes sense.

This is a thing?

Yes, kinda like the "Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party" show.

Oh, I know that's a thing.

I see these crap shows when I am half-asleep when I accidentally leave the TV on late at night. My 13 year old brother calls them "Japasnoozies" Because he thinks he is dreaming when he watches them.

Not really.

Was this to me or the OP?

I posted in reply to the OP right? Yes I did. You see how my previous post is on the same level as yours and SentinelPenguin's? And everyone else who replied to the OP?

You would be surprised how many people do not use threaded view. We've kinda gotten used to having people replying to the wrong post.
