An interesting, and exiting day in a boring life.....

Long story short, my father lives in a less then good neihboorhood. Stories of murder are often found. Many crimes have been commited and now cops are serriously cracking down. It was in the newspaper about a month ago about how they are now being allowed to use more force and they really want to stop crime.

So anyway, I was on our brick street playing Kick ball with a bunch of kids. For the most part they were all fairly young, only one of them was older like me.

I noticed in the middle of the game a police helicopter flying incredibly low above the trees. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but only about 5 minutes later, maybe not even that. A police car drove by and we had to stop the game. After witch we were about to get back to the game when only about a minute later a second car came by, dirrectly behind that was a third car that turned left, presumably to search the other side of the neihboorhood.

The cop car passed us and it looked as if he was going to go. But then the car stopped in the middle of the road. Then slowly backed up!!!

The two police officers inside aksed if we had seen any colored male wearing all black running by. Aparently as the other kids put it, a store had been robbed. I didn't hear that part from the cops, but it must have happened to have so many cops looking for him.

The kids got both exicted and fearful. They talked on and on about how he could be packing heat, and that they would run inside or jump the fence. They were quiet fearful, but in an incredibly exicited way.

What I'm hoping is the no one got shot or anything............. the cops didn't say..... Then again they didn't say anything about the male having a gun. Just if we seen him.................... probably not to scare the kids?...... maybe  a bit unlikely.............

This was around 15-20 minutes ago....

The question is, how would you have reacted hearing that? Would you be scared? and any other comment you might like to add....

I was just wondering why the cops didn't mention him having a fire arm or being dangerous. I figured they would have..... unless the man robing the store didn't have one... but I dont understand how he wouldnt have one..........

they dont disclose things like whether they were armed, what they did, what they are looking for them for, simply to keep things under control. you probably should have asked for a ride home lol. no need to be hanging out with a wanted person on the loose. however, there could have been many reasons why they were looking for him. would i have been scared? kinda lol but i would have just been more aware of my surroundings from now on.

I just found out, some kid got beat up pretty bad, and his cell phone was stolen..... So the guy must not have had a gun.......

Also, i'm not racist or anything. A bunch of the kids with me were colored, and they were freaken out about the robbery. There not bad kids.

Ohh I wasn't hanging out with a wanted person. Plus my dads house was like.... 150 feet from where I was.

Same with all the other kids parents....

And it was my dad that told me that it was someone that got beat up for a cell phone. He came in awhile ago while I was typing, and told me cops were on our street again.

My dad tells me that all the time crimes are in the newspaper on this street. Not the street my dad lives on, but this big long main street. My dads street is a side street of it. Actually not much trouble happens on my dads street. Were lucky. But as my dad says, it's been getting worse and in the next few years it could be very bad. But thats why the cops are cracking down now.........

But a street away a few, rather bad crimes happened. I'd rather not tell you about them. But if you want to know, ask and I will PM you it. Quiet a few.....

I'm guessing if the cops didn't get them that who ever robbed that person must be in hidding by now... not sure, since I"m inside now. LOL
