Hey, I know you guys aren't here but for when you run into billions of dollars and want to upgrade the site, we should allow ALL logged in users to be able to tag any story (published or not) with whichever tags they want. Then just send me a PM each time a user tags a story so I can make sure it's legit.

No reason to limit tagging to unpublished stories.

Can you do anything with tags currently? Like search for things that are tagged something. Or see all stories that have a certain tag?

But yea, either way, it'd be really cool to be able to tag stories that the author chose not to tag. It gives it a good way to see what kind of story it is if the author also didn't really give a good description, without having to read comments which often give things away.

Not yet, we can't do anything with them but soon.

Sweet. That sounds awesome.

It does SOUND like something that would end up being terrible, because it does really open up the possibility of trouble making. However, I think that there aren't going to be that many people who are gonna go around tagging things anyway (people hardly bother to tag their own stories, let alone other people's) but it gives people the opportunity, and hopefully the right people will take it, and more stories will get tagged.

With JJJ monitoring it, I doubt it'll turn out that bad. Anything that happens would likely get cleaned up quickly.
