I want to create a forum game, a role play, but I'm not sure if there is any rules or tips that i should apply?Like I'm basing my (maybe) forum game off a Manga. And the characters are different and the plot is different(sort of), but the concept is the same.

Again, any tips or guidelines?

As for the manga setting, I'd say go for it. There have been other forum games that were based on an existing book/game/etc. and I think that if you manage to create a good game it won't matter where you got your inspiration from.

More detail is better.  There are some players who are up for any kind of game, but in general you'll get more interest when people know what to expect.  What manga is it?  When you say 'the characters are different' do you mean you have pre-generated PCs for players?  or that your NPCs are different, and players will make up their own original characters?  When you say 'the plot is different,' does that mean you have a definitive storyline that you expect to be followed?  Pretty much all of CYS's forum games are very free-form.  (Example: if you were doing a Legend of Korra rp, and you thought the adventure was the characters going to look for more airbenders, but they told you they wanted to try and conquer Republic City instead- would that ruin your game?)

Then you're definitely going to want to figure out how you plan to handle combat.  It will probably devolve into everyone saying "I kill forty zombie dolphins with my transmuted katana," but at least you'll have tried.

Also, be prepared for the players to go off and do their own thing.  Example: I recall an attack on titan rp where the creator expressed frustration that while he was afk, the players had invented a bunch of locations without asking him.

Just don't (over)use explicit, weird, hentai stuff on this site.  Might be funny as hell, but it'll make you look younger in every bad way...
