As much as I'm not a newbie, there's still something that really confuses me. So, here's my question.
Would a Indiana Jones-style game about treasure hunters in the modern age be in the Modern Adventure category, or something else?
I’d say modern adventure would be the closest, unless you had a lot of scifi or horror elements or something else that could put it in those categories instead. Of course if it’s actually about Indiana Jones, then fanfic.
Would a troll count as enough of a fantasy element to warrant it being put in fantasy? :\

I’d still say modern adventure since you even said it was mainly about treasure hunters in the modern age. I think one troll can squeak in and not really count it as fantasy. Even in stuff like Uncharted they usually got a couple fantasy elements even if the rest of it is more or less set in reality.
