Hey gang, take a look at the new home page I've been working on. I'm experimenting with different layouts, but here's what I've got: http://test.myadventuregame.com/index.new.asp.

Thoughts? Comments? I'd like to pack more info and make it like an aggregate type of informational page.

What would you like to see on the home page?

Hopefully this will change when we have a new, dynamic page. There is no reason to visit the current one -- it's always the same and too static.

What would you like to see? Recent posts to messages? New Games? I'd like to add a bit more things.

i was thinking about the lay out idea for the home page. the site is based on stories right? stories traditionally went into...books. how about putting a book on the home page and have tabs on the right of the book that represent all the pages accessable to the guest or member? on the cover of the book you can have the Logo guy. The book could be called MyAdventureGame.Com. just a thought that hit me pretty quick.

im not sure what you mean 3J. to clarify my idea i was refering to the front page of the new site homepage.

i can understand why you would be confused. i didnt explain it very well. when i said put a book on the front page i meant put a Picture of a book (not one particular) and have tabs on the side that link to things like Forums, My Suff, Games etc...

There should be a book with a link to every game on the site...

This is a very good idea -- Choco and I have been talking about redoing the layout of the site and making it more book-like. Although the look we have now is vintage 80's looking, it feels more "Action" than "CYOA". 

obviously webdesign is not my forte, so I will just wait until chocobot comes back. We will work on a new layout altogether. In the meantime i'll just tweak the page for the contest ...
