Ava's Demon is set in the very far future where we have, indeed, discovered intelligent beings in space. They can look human to whatever your imagination can think of. Ava comes from a planet much like Earth. She has suffered from her inner demon named Wrathia Bellarmina, who had furiously tried to kill Ava. She would whisper "PACT" in Ava's ear. Ava suffered for fifteen years before she was told Wrathia was a figment of her imagination. Then her planet was destroyed by aliens nicknamed "Silent Scavengers."
Ava finds four people that may help her, and as she escapes in a spaceship, it explodes. She and her friend Maggie find themselves thrown from the wreckage and down towards the nearest planet. Maggie survives, but sadly, Ava is pierced by a statue's sword.
