Once again probably behind on what’s new and what isn’t, but if anyone is interested in a serial killer simulator Party Hard is sort of a fun way to pass the time.
It isn’t like Postal or Hatred where you’re just mowing down peeps with a machine gun, you actually have to employ some stealth to a small degree.
Each level is a different kind of party (Pool, BBQ, cruise ship, rave, rooftop, etc) and you have to use the environment to your advantage to kill everyone at the party.
Sometimes you get the option to poison the food, sabotage items so they blow up, or the tried and true way of getting someone alone in a secluded spot and stabbing the shit out of them. There are usually places to hide the bodies so you aren’t incurring a panic and the cops get called in.
Speaking of the cops, if they do come and they know its you, you need to find some place to hide or run long enough before they give up because you can’t just stab them. (They can die due to traps though)
The game itself isn’t really going for as Malk would say “Edgelord” tone. If anything it’s pretty colorful and almost has a silly, happy aura about it.
In keeping with some of this silliness, there are some random events that can occur during levels since while you might replay a level and the objects available and even the lay out are sometimes a bit different. There was one level where I was in the middle of killing folks as usual and zombies suddenly showed up turning all the other party goers into zombies as well.
Two other memorable events were some aliens beaming down to join a party and another serial killer driving up in a road warrior type vehicle at the party armed with a chainsaw.
