Does anyone read the comic strip Ctrl-Alt-Del, by Tim Buckley? I recommend you check it out at www.cad-comic.com Here is one of my favourites:

I read CAD, as well as Penny Arcade, but when I realized that all web-comics are the same, they lost their flair.

Thanks, Zero Punctuation.

Croshaw is a genius.

Have you played the Penny Arcade game?

In fact, I've started to listen and agree with Yahtzee moreso than, say, IGN. And especially X-Play. Those fools at X-Play are a joke. I rather listen to an actual CRITIC than hear some tool praise MGS4 solely on the few redeeming qualities and write the other flaws, some of them major, off as "minor problems".

And no, I've never played the Precipice of Darkness, and I don't plan to. There's just some attribute about Penny Arcade that makes them so unlikable to me.

Speaking of IGN, I was looking at their Rise of the Argonauts review- and one of the player/critics was really slamming them for saying it was mediocre and a waste of time when they gave basically the same technical review to Prince of Persia and then said it was really fun and a great game.

Is Gamespot a subsidiary of IGN?

At least Yahtzee is consistant. lol

Oh, and another thing. In pretty much EVERY review of Call of Duty 4, whether it be IGN, Gamespot, etc., they all said that CoD4's campaign was EXTREMELY short. Gamespot said it'd take you less than five hours or something. Wtf? There are more missions in CoD4 than Halo 3, but nobody cried about Halo 3 being short. Sure, each of Halo 3's missions were fairly long, but still. I was truly baffled. It took be a while to get through the entire campaign. Maybe not twenty hours, but not less than five. Assholes... They did say "the Campaign is still a great experience" but that's not enough to redeem them. It's probably the only problem they could think of. I'm not saying the game's perfect, but MGS4 isn't either!

Either way I wouldnt say it affects gameplay too much.

That said, HL2 was nowhere near long enough

How so?

Length of the game does not, of itself, affect the gaming experience in the middle of a mission.

Half-Life 2 was too short because the expansions are nowhere near as good as GODMODE GRAVITY GUN! the original HL2. The stories just don't seem as epic.

...You mean HL2 Episode 2 was as good as the original?

Ctrl-Alt-Del

Exactly the opposite! The episodes/expansions are nowhere near as good as HL2.

Sorry, that was a typo! I meant to say "...You mean HL2 Episode 2 was not as good as the original?" THAT was what I meant. Oops.

If you stopped reading a few years ago, you would have missed the change. It's less random now, more story arcs. Oh, and this one is brilliant:

I want to laugh, but instead I'm weeping because this is so true.
