Combat-oriented storygames?

I don't quite understand them. There are hundreds of good combat-oriented graphical computer games, many of them also have good stories, characters and dialogs.

Do you like to play text-based combat?

If you do, what makes you choose to spend your time with a text game instead of a graphical one?

Can a text-based combat be as good as graphical or even better?

Let's discuss it! :)

Nope :)

I really don't like to read about killing monsters. But maybe I'll give it a shot one day.

Those are my favorite type of RPG, when I can pause the game, give a number of actions, then re-start the action. Baldur's Gate was one of my all-time favorites.

This is where it starts. All graphical games were once text base. You need to know how to plan the algorium before implementing graphics. That's why I used to write them, anyway.
