As I was testing out some of the new features. Well in this case the filter mechanism that puts very low ranking games off the screen.  I noticed some games that were not too horrible starter games that were pretty much being put  into limbo for the rest of time.  What was more disapointing though was the comments given to games by you guys the regulars.  IF a new person comes to the site and they try to make a small game, and all they get when they post it up is  THIS SUCKS,  THIS GAME IS HORRIBLE, etc. - chances are they will not stick around to make another game, or a better one for that matter.

Then after the newbie starts seeing who told him his games sucks and sees it's the regulars on the site or the moderators for that matter. If I were him I'd leave the site thinking it is composed of self righteous  ----- .  Point is  especially too you regulars, feel free to warn other to stay away from this game- however just don't say it sucks.  Try  something like "Good to see your trying to make a game however may I reccomend (so on and so on)"

Quick example of my point The game bar hopper 1.7 rpg man made an honest attempt to make a game with a lot of selections- it spelled well and even offers a few pictures. It is not an awesome game but it's a fair attempt at a first game then look at the comments- and then consider why rpg hasnt really showed up in a while.  I appreciate all you guys and I'm just trying to make the site as caool as possible so please help me out and take into consideration this suggestion.

Ya so you saying that we should change our opinions because they are newbies?  I'm not sure I'm quite cool with that.  As for your example Bar Hopper 1.7, my alterego the Assasin left a good comment.  But really, if someone wont put the time into making a good game then it gets what it gets.  (Not to go into making sotries about the good ole' days) But when I was a rookie I started a game and it was called Star Wars Episode I the so and so.  And it was better then most games on teh site and it was only twenty five pages.  Thats kinda sad but not the point.  Point was, bein someone who had potential to being an asset to the site I deleted that game instead of abruptly ending it.  I think if a newbie cant excersize self control then we dotn need em' n e way.

Amen.

I think what he means, is instead of being flat out brutal, tell them what you don't like about, but include how they could fix it.
