Cool Idea for a Story

This is an idea for a story that I figure would be pretty cool but I don't really know how to write it and I'm not a good writer in the first place so I figured I would throw this out into the forums and see if someone else who is better than me might pick this up.

The story is based on the premise that you are a narrator narrating a narrator for a story. So you don't write the characters thoughts and voice, you just wrote the persons actions. You would write the narrators thoughts and speech to the main character.

Here is an example:

"The narrator then said, "Well then John, it appears that you have trapped yourself. Due to your excessive stupidity I'm not sure whether to just leave you here or simply open the door and let you try something different.""

Paths:

- Let John stay there

- Open the door / let John out

So you would never actually show anything that John in thinking or saying, just what he is doing and what the narrator is thinking and saying.

Note/Disclaimer: This idea was inspired by the computer game The Stanley Parable. I do not take credit for anything from that game I just thought it would be cool to see a story written in the same format as the game. And like I said I figured it would be more useful to give this idea to someone who might turn it into something better than I could.

It's an interesting idea. I think this site could do with more storygames where the paths/choices are made that don't rely on the actions of the characters themselves, and this would be one good way of going about it.
