This was quite well-written and informative. It was definitely more story than game, and the story didn't really deviate much from a certain set path, but that's really the only minor gripe that I had with this.

It offered good insight on a lifestyle that I certainly don't know much about, and some nice tidbits to familiarize me with certain facets of the Amish culture that I found to he rather interesting.

This was honestly a pretty good story. I only wished that it wasn't so linear and there was more potential branching involved.

Well, this was certainly an interesting experience.

First of all I'd like to praise the author. The writing was very well done, and you obviously spellchecked as I did not notice a single grammar mistake, so props to you. The story itself was very interesting and taught me a good deal about Amish culture (if it was accurate). For example I learned things like the religious practices of Amish people and gender roles. A very educational game I must say.

However, this game did have its own faults. While it was educational it wasn't much of an interactive fiction. Basically, it was linear. This means that it stuck to one story without branching off or making a new storyline. What puzzles me is that, while it follows a single story, the author knew it had to have choices, but those just put you right back in the original plotline. For example if you decide to skip Youth group and go to grandma's she forces you back, and only towards the end was there any change in plotline, but that was just in the endings.

Also, I felt that the game jumped around a lot. In the beginning it seemed like a "day in a life" type thing but then all of a sudden I'm going to groups and getting married. I think it would be better if the author added more meat behind these major events, as this could also add more educational value.

In the end, the story was very educational amd very unique, it would appear the author either has done a lot of research or was a former Amish citizen. But it was too educational with not enough interactive story.

Even though Amish people aren't real, I still enjoyed the game.

You got the statistics incorrect. it is 90% who chose to leave the Amish community, and 10% who chose to stay. All in all, I really enjoyed this; It was fun and educational. Thank you for making this!

The picture of the women you have on the second page is not a picture of Amish women. They are women from a Mennonite sect.

This is interesting, but needs expansion to be sufficiently worthwhile. More detail and a more of an embedded story would make this idea something I could recommend.

Seems to align with other sources of information about Amish congregations, I hadn’t heard before this of group field trips.

Lol this shit was actually funny in some parts especially the horse drawn collision.

Honestly I had no idea the Amish had a festival where they left and saw the outside world when they got older which is pretty cool.

This story reads as something done for a school project which it probably was but it's good.

There's little to no plot, or dialogue, just description of what the girl sees and what she does with nothing more to add to it.

I saw almost no spelling mistakes either which was also pretty nice.

Enjoyed reading this and wouldn't mind reading other short stories like this from this author.

This storygame topples headfirst into one of the major pitfalls of category. Too many unnecessary information dumps that played no part into the story itself.

It is really more of an informative essay but I guess it was ok.

Really enjoyed the story. You obviously put a lot of time and thought into this. Your well versed in the overlying concepts of the amish. As a person not Amish but immersed in their culture however I noted many obvious incorrect assumptions about Amish culture. I didn't take offense, but my wife and I agreed quickly the author has a lot to learn about the amish. Thank you for your book it was still fun to experience!

This was a very neat storygame! I appreciated that you didn't make the entire thing a love story about wanting to desperately leave the Amish life to fall in love, as so many stories with the "Amish" theme do. It wasn't too long and wasn't too short and I learned a few new things about the Amish lifestyle! :) thanks for making a great game.

OMG WHAT A GOOD GAME. I LIKE TOTALLY WISH I WAS AMISH SO I COULD MEET A GUY LIKE SKYLAR ACE <33333333. BUT SERIOUSLY THOUGH, GRANDMA IS SO UNCOOL. SHE WOULDN'T EVEN LET ME SKIP YOUTH GROUP TO GET DRUNK WITH MY FRIENDS. 10/10 COULDN'T HAVE ENDED BETTER!

I liked this, it was well put together with a fairly plausible plot for an educational story game. It was well written but could have been longer, branched out more or had some more exciting elements but within it's own boundaries I thought it was excellent :)
