Player Comments on Cuban Missile Crisis

It's not always easy to present a historical event as a story game, but the author has pulled it off. My only regret is that as the reader I wasn't immersed in the story. I would have liked to have a drop of sweat make its way down my brow as my decisions decided the fates of millions of lives. Instead it was a very impersonal read, but still good fun, edutainment indeed. I appreciate the bibliography you included.

This was a fun game.

Not terrible, but not great

I liked the bibliography part, made the story have a sense of credibility. That's a plus for me. The thing is that, it is something that I'll prolly forget after a night or two. It's nothing that will make my heart beat faster. There's no sense of pressure even tho my decision will decide the fate of the world or something like that. It's realistic in a historical sense but it's something that I can't take seriously with the way it was written, what I mean is that I can't emotionally connect with the character I am playing as. Still gave a decent score because spelling and grammar is good, the choices and their results are logical and as I said, the bibliography part is a nice touch.

Good story, but you do have a loop in there where the reader can repeatedly invade Cuba. Aside from that, I'm glad that we finally get an alternate history line for once.

Was ok. I didn't feel the player was given enough freedom to completely change this storygame's outcomes. Too attached to reality, opinion. Some spelling errors.

But, the elephant is in the room. The truth is in your face, when you r the Cuban warheads go BOOM!!!

Wow. It was fun playing through an alternate history timeline. As pointed out, I wish there was a little more immersion but to me that wasn't a large problem. Thanks for the bibliography.

Well researched and enjoyable enough, perhaps the historical information was presented too factually and the reader did not feel like a true participant?

I quite enjoyed that! Being a history buff myself, I tried to ignore the options I knew Kennedy had chosen and really delved deep into my psyche to figure out what I would actually do as President. It takes a lot of work to make someone do that. Nice work, you three!

That was amazing! I had always wanted to be in control and to change history. Being able to destroy the world was awesome!

I like the fact how everything is well-though through, and how you can play how it was done in history. I haven't found any other good endings yet, but if there are, congratulations!
