Prepare yourself for the new wave of choose your own adventure games!! This is a movie, though poorly made, and at times way too dark despite our efforts to lighten the scenes, but it'll give you a good idea of what to expect in the future. To see the most I encourage you to maximize the size of the clips, and turn out the lights.
Since this game is based off of movie clips, I suggest that those who decide to play have broadband hook up, but it's not a necessity to enjoy the game, just means faster loading times.

This game is not intended for anyone under the age of 13.

Well, it was sometimes laughable (the creature's costume, and the set of keys which were obviously part of a toddler's toy set). But some parts (the body parts in the kitchen) were genuinely creepy that made up for it. This video definitely could have used some work, but the shine is there. Reminds me a lot of The Grudge. I'd like to see a video in this vein with a longer adventure and good backstory.

LOL! That was really good. Very creepy. Reminded me of Blair Witch. The film is too dark, but you know that already. Good use of items. The acting was good too; I really liked this one. Excellent job! That arm in the bucket looked real.

Very good and entertaining. It's kind of like Blair Witch meets Suburban house during Halloween. All the items found worked in the game for the most part, too.

I quite enjoyed that. It was very creative to use videos in your CYOA; I don't think I've seen any other stories on the site do that. I also felt like you put a lot of effort into the clips. Obviously you went to the trouble of setting multiple rooms in the house with props.

The atmosphere was great. I could feel the tension. I also felt like the way the protagonist spoke (heavy breathing, etc.) conveyed his anxiety. I wish you had had him react a bit more loudly when he discovered horrible things (SPOILERS:) If I were to discover a dead body or dismembered body parts, my first reaction would be to scream.

You also made clever use of items. There were a few puzzles to be solved in this, but they were relatively easy to figure out (in a good way). I feel like the bad ending scenes could've been made a bit more scary -- perhaps also by adding some realistic screaming from the protagonist.

Good work overall. 5.5 / 8.

I didn't like how every time you fail you restart.

I liked the addition of the video component. It shows that you put time and effort into this.

Very creative! Awesome idea! A little tricky at first, but finally caught on. I admit, I jumped during some parts, ha!
