This is a very cute game

It's an adorable cat story, one of the better ones I've read.
Still, very intriguing that this cat can understand human speech. Oh well, it makes a stronger narrative with these kinds of creative liberties. Animal povs are always pretty tricky, but you nailed the balance.

Although it was able to understand their language, the stray kitten wasn't for example familiar with nephews or Christmas which is a nice touch.

The theme of Christmas also made the story much more cohesive (binds lots of elements and story beats together) and therefore the narrative was a lot stronger than the average stray animal gets adopted by humans story you find on the site.

My little brother enjoyed it a lot. I also liked it.

That final line upped my rating by another number. I don't find very many things cute, but this is definitely an exception.

This is cute. I was worried when I saw the word kitten in the title, but this is actually a nice children's story. Sure, it could be longer and have more choices that matter, but it's short and sweet. I doubt you're actually 12, the writing style doesn't fit it. But regardless of who you are, be it a child, or some older person, please keep on writing. :)

Conventional wisdom would suggest that you are almost certainly not for real, but as long as the stories themselves are passable I guess it doesn't matter, and this was better than expected.

Cat protagonist and the religious elements are going to trigger people here, but I suspect that's why they're there.

Anyway the actual writing is fine, and if you were actually 12 I'd assume your mom did a lot more than just proofread, although nothing wrong with that either I guess. It was funny in enough places it didn't veer completely over into saccharine. (Except when it did.)
