The Last Man Standing

This was one of, if not the, worst intro page I have ever seen. It was not funny, nor amusing in any way, and makes me question if the author even knows what humor is. It had absolutely nothing to make me interested or engaged in the story, and just felt like it was thrown in there because the author needed more pages to publish.

Some minor spoilers below.

Besides that, the next few pages were alright. The way the main character narrated his surroundings had some personality, and I found the conversation with man #1 amusing, though the conversation with man #2 was pretty barebones.

It didn’t make sense to only be able to progress the game by looking at porn magazines, which lead to sleeping. Sleeping by examining the beds would be easier to figure out.

If the reader doesn’t collect some specific items before progressing, they’ll get stuck. This gets pretty frustrating, so I suggest making the link to progress unclickable until they get said items.

Originally, I skipped over the description and assumed it was a game about surviving at a research station in Antarctica. The fact that I was able to get through the entire game, up until the union ending, without realizing that points to zero worldbuilding, lore, or any sort of backstory in the writing. A description is meant to be a brief passage about the game, not the entire history of the world.

The characters, aside from the narrator in the beginning, were one-dimensional and flat. There was no reason for me to care about them or want to get the best ending for them, which resulted in me clicking the first endgame link I could find.

The puzzles were pretty fun, probably the best part of this game, though it’d be nice for the items to have pictures.

In all, it wasn’t a waste of time, though it did have a lot to improve on.

Okay, so this was fairly good but also very frustrating in places if you didn't know where to go at first. There's no indication that you're supposed highlight the text at the basement door. (Even though that is optional.)

You can also pick up the map infinite times, somehow, the descriptions are often reduced to no more than 2-3 lines and there isn't a lot of background. There's a gang with bombs? Where's the rest of it?

Oh, and in order to sleep on the bed, you don't examine the bed. You have to examine something else which allows you to sleep.

It was actually quite fun.

Took me a lot of time to realize how to get out. Got the Union Ending. Just one clue to help the people that are stuck...

Magazines aren't so bad sometimes.
