2012 presidential election

Normally as you know im not one to post much about politics or religion or bad situations in the society. Though i was wondering what everyone felt with the upcoming election, and whos side there on and why and how they feel even being indifferent. I'm not really on anyones side, and i feel no reason to be, but if you want people, you can respond to this post. You guys may know alot more and have alot more legit reasons on who your voting for in 2012 or feel you should vote for.

Obama's going socialism but will not succed because he is too slow

Everybody else is a puppet of either the Rep/Dem party or is working for the corporates.

Anybody that would actually help our country through the seat of presidency is either to poor or to cowardly to do anything about it. That or they are helping out through other means.

Public distrust of the government is so high.

My comment is more of my opinion but I think most people don't trust the goverment because they continue to make things worse for the next generation.

I don't have a vote (obviously) but I hope for your sake that Romney doesn't get in.

I support Romney, but I have a nasty feeling Obama's gonna get elected. There are too many people around here who just ignore his policies, like when they still think he supports ending hostilities in th emiddle east -_-

Also adding if your religious you should not vote for him.

The catholic church is against contraceptives. Obama has mandated that all healthcare providers provide birth control meaning he is forcing the church to provide something it doesn't believe in. In fact the is a suit against the Obama administration right now.

That's not so bad in my opinion, but I guess I'm not Catholic so i can't really relate.

Separation of church and state. He is dictating to the church what it should or should not do.

No, he's telling healthcare providers what they must do and not giving the Church special exceptions. Also, I've looked at the article and I can't find where he's forcing them to give birth control to their employees, only offer birth control insurance.

I've thought about this issue a lot since you brought it up, and I still don't know what I think about it. On the one hand, Obama's dictating what people have to carry, but on the other hand (besides the fact that the Pope dictated what they could not carry, which is just as bad in my opinion) that's no different than requiring smoking and non-smoking sections in resturaunts rather than allow patrons to smoke in an area where non-smokers would get offended through the smell, second-hand smoke, or taste of the food..

This reminds me of a quote,

"Those who would give up a little liberty for a little security deserve neither and lose both."

^That quote seems to describe our nation pretty well in it's current state. I don't remember who said it though.

Considering the fact that it would be anarchy if we didn't give up a few liberties (seeing as  all governments oppress their citizens in some way or another, and the point of a government is to ensure security for the people) I've never put much stock in that quote. For example, I believe that I have the right to private property but the man next door believes he has the right to go wherever he pleases. Regardless of what the law says, one of us is going to have our right stripped, yet it doesn't invalidate the government which strips the right.

You're applying that rule backwards lol.

Gonna fix this for you, cool.

'Also adding if you're religious, and trying to oppress other people, you should not vote for him.

In my opinion, if you are truly religious you wouldn't like either candidate. Truly religious people aren't really interested in worldly things.

I'm sure history says otherwise.
