The premise of this game is, well, a little odd, but sometimes that can make a game interesting and fun! It was interesting, too, when I tried to return the clock and it continued to explode. I can absolutely see the customer service folks acting exactly like the one in the story. Are you sure this isn’t a real-life experience, or at least based on a true story?

There are some good options in the story, and that’s a great feature for a CYOA story. In this case some of the options link back to sort of push you in one direction, but this story does it in a way that really makes sense and actually works well to enhance the story instead of taking away from the story. It feels like the reader is really in control of the story and able to actually affect the outcome of the story, and that’s exactly how a CYOA should feel.

I tried it a few times and got some different endings, which is also neat. It was slightly random, but it was random in a really entertaining way! Other authors could learn from this story: even though it is pretty short, it still has a fun story (if a bit silly), good writing, and different paths to different endings. Thank you for sharing this story with the site!

Ha-ha! That was pretty fun! I liked the overall concept of the story, which is to return a faulty alarm clock and get your money back. It might sound pretty generic or not even that fun, but trust me, it isn't easy to return a bad clock.

The story itself is very humorous, and at times made me laugh. Very good sense of humor.

The only thing I would have to say is that how could you bring the alarm clock if it explodes? In the story, your clock explodes... so you somehow bring it to the store? And then demonstrate it exploding again? How could you demonstrate if its already in pieces? This part I didn't understand.

But this was still very, very fun. I applaud you, for a very good story!

I did this while I was in my College history class and I actually chuckled out loud. I don’t think the teacher appreciated it but I did... 10/10

Good for a short story. I can’t rate it higher because of its length but it is a great length for the subject.
