I have a problem with finishing things I start on.
Storygames
The Realm of Sol and Luna, ruled by two immortal goddesses, going by those very names, is a vast land filled with many wonders, and surrounded by vicious enemies looking to take this stronghold of civilization. In SunSpear, the glorious capital, sits Sol empress of day, and in the cold fortress of Natt sits Luna, empress of night. Together these two goddesses has ruled the Realm for eight hundred years.
You are a soldier of the Realm, and you will find yourself in the midst of the upheavals ahead. Will you rise to power and fortune, or will you find yourself face down in the dirt having failed all you stood for? And will you find true love while you're at it?
This is more of a story than a game. But some choices will have major impacts on the storyline. This does not mean that it is not possible to fail however. You can die.
NOTE: This game is not finished. Only one of the main two storylines are done (lunar guard one), the other will be finished at some point in the future, possibly...
And yes, I am aware that the style and quality of this work varies heavily from page to page. This is because I spent quite some time writing it, and was of different states of mind while I did.
The part of series tag is there because I feel that I may write more in this universe in the future.
You begin a young child in Albion (yeah, yeah, cliche, get over yourselves), a land of magic, steam and steel. Forge your destiny in the years that will pass.
For centuries the mages of the Golden tower has ruled an empire fulled by blood sacrifice and corruption. But on the edges of their realm a rebellion is brewing. One that will be sung of for ages to come.
(Writing this sort of to keep my english skills somewhat sharp).

Right, so I had this idea... on 1/21/2013 4:17:27 AMI've got the world loosely down. Mostly basing it on late industrial revolution England, although divided into city states. Not going to include too many fantastic beasts, if any. I don't feel they fit into the universe. As for a map, I can't seem to make one I'm happy about. I might have to do that once I've got more of the story down.
As for magic and technology interacting. They might, in some limited way. But not very prominently. Mages will make up a somewhat small group and most won't be bothered with running machinery and such.
Thanks for the advice and the link!

Right, so I'm working on this story right. Where you'll start as a young boy in the land of Albion (I know, I know, but names aren't my thing), which is a land in the industrial age. Basically steam-punk, with magic. Then you choose how your life proceeds from there. It'll involve a bit of war, bit of friendship, and if I can get it right, romance. I'm hoping to create a rather large game with multiple possible endings and storylines. Which of course will take some time.
That's the basic idea I've got down so far. Any thoughts?
