Hello and welcome! I'm PixelPop, an ambitious gamer inspired to create her own games. However, while I'm gathering what I need to create 3-D models, sound effects, and other game features, I want to build smaller versions of final product, to help me develop ideas and test things out. So I've come here, hoping to create a text adventure version of my ideas and get a feel of what I want in the actual game as well as gather opinions on my ideas. With the help of the CYS community, I hope to eventually achieve my dream to create and sell quality sandbox RPGs. But for now, I'm good here, creating, testing, and brainstorming. Thank you for visiting! Feel free to PM me about any questions or to give me your support. Bye!
[P.S, I will love you forever if you can correctly guess who is featured in my avatar (first and last name please). Thanks!]

Pictures Won't Work on 8/28/2015 5:05:14 PMOMG same! *applause* I am not the only weirdo! (although this seems to be a site that weird people flock to. Or is that just the way I see it? *shrugs*)

Yeah, what Kiel said. I have the same problem, and I find it super annoying. However, (because I have mega loads of patience and I'm just super strange in this way) I usually put the picture in first, do the page, and each time I come back to it, I just put the picture in again. I don't know why I do this.... maybe to check to make sure the picture looks good or something strange like that? No idea. I'm hoping that somehow, some way, someone will fix this or find a way around it. My advice? Take Kiel's advice.

Hello Lexar! Crime based huh? Sounds awesome! I'm new to the site myself, but I've found it's a great place to stretch your creativity. Can't wait to play your games! Shoot me a PM anytime! >w^

I'm making a storygame similar to "Virtual Villagers: Origins" but I'm not sure what I should put as the genre. "Virtual Villagers: Origins" is labeled as "edutainment" but my storygame has a couple of different features (role-play with the villagers, "you-are-the-character" POV, and other things not found in VV:O) and I'm not sure if those things would change what the genre is. Can someone help to clear this up?
(P.S: I'm still having trouble with figuring out what kind of posts go where so if this post is in the wrong forum then please let me know in a polite manner and alert an admin to put it right. Thank you!)

Ford OMG OMG OMG! YOU KNOW WHO HE IS! *fangirl squeal* Ahem. Thanks. You just made my day! (BTW, the way it's spelled in my game is "Damien" but I've noticed that people spell it different ways all the time. Just FYI about how I spell it, but by all means spell it however you want, it's a free country! ;D)

Thank you 3J you've really cleared it up for me! Of course, my storygames never revolve around sex. I MIGHT do a dating sim, but of course, it will be mostly about interactions and romance (not necessarily sex) and will have a bit of story to even out the RP aspect. You're response is encouraging, and I'm glad my style fits into your image of what the site should be like. I hope to have a long and happy time on the site, thanks to the changes you've made. Thank you! ;)

So..... what you mean like so long as it isn't meaningless sex or mindless swearing with no justification it's fine? I'm still a bit confused....

I just had to do this:
"which 3J mostly wants to banish"
Me: Well he IS JJJ-the banisher!
But in all seriousness let's talk freeform. I personally HATE it went things go like that. I mean, I'm usually willing to take a hit, even kill off my character and have (for example) a sibling come back to avenge them to keep the action going, but whenever I try to realisticly kill someone (i.e Carter jumps from the bushes waving a knife. He has a wild look in his eye and swings the knife down in an arch. <----- Simple, leaves the other person the choice to dodge or be hit, gives some control to the other person) they NEVER take a hit, they ALWAYS dodge and insta-kill me. In cases where they're "I kill you" description is so idiotic and overpowered I just ignore them and add a "patch" if you would. For example: When Carter swings the knife down, super-ninja-sensei turns invisible and dodges before blasting Carter to pieces with a nuclear powered, spear shooting bazooka. What I do: Carter sees the ninja disappear and feels his blade slice through thin air. He whirls around, trying to figure out where the ninja went, but eventually gives up and sheathes his knife before continuing to Sancta City. THAT'S what I do, but it is absolutely NO fun doing it like that because there's no real inter-character interaction or communication. I'd like to develop storyline between characters but all anyone wants to do is live forever and insta-kill everything. Boring, stupid, immature, and soooo frustrating! THANK you for eliminating these from the site. You've done us all a HUGE favor! ;)
