Hey, it's me again :P. I have a much simpler question. I'm trying to make a game which gives the option of having your name in the game. I know this can be accomplished, because I have played Homo Perfectus 8, (I think that's the game?) and it lets you create a name. Would this be Scripting? Or a Variable? Or is it just something a lot simpler that I'm overthinking?
Scripting, and given that letter variables don't exist, it probably took a MASSIVE amount of scripting.
Otherwise, you would see it be much more common in most games (I mean who wouldn't want that as a feature?).

Yep, basically what I figured.
After all if it was a simple task, it would be well known and basically every game would contain it.

It will. It took me about a week to finish this system.
Then again, that's mainly because of how repetitive it is (you're doing the same thing for each letter, and each letter takes a long time to make). If I wouldn't have taken pauses in between, I could probable have finished it in a day or two.

It's not usually done, as it is so much work for a feature most consider unimportant. After all, the name is hardly the most important thing about a character. You could compromise of course, and make a few names to choose from.
Yeah, that's much easier. That only takes (for example):

Alright, so I'm having a bit of troubles with this too...
The script seems to work but whenever I actually go into the story game I can't seem to find the box to input the name. Any help?
Um...it won't magically make a box...you have to have a page to select each letter of the name. The script is for making the name appear.
Yeah, actually creating an input for players to enter a name is even more complicated. It can be done across multiple pages or on a single page with lots of code.
