You can't make an article from the first page.  You have to click some link to go to another page and then click a link there.  Why?

This is by design ... don't want to make it too easy to write articles at this point.

i would imagine that its because alex and the crew dont want to make it too easy for crappy articles to be on the site. make it a bit more difficult and that discourages people who just want points for nothing. but other than that i wouldnt know lol
