Seemingly inconsistently and with great stress placed on client browsers to load MB of text.

Dragging images into RTE converts to base64 100% of the time.

Embedding images with HTML in BTE converts to base64 sometimes for unknown reasons.

I may as well throw in that image embeds break within a day sometimes, traditionally thought to be caused by the CDN but with no evidence this should be investigated further.

Seems like the easy solution here is to remove RTE...
