Suggestions for improvements and additions to the site.

This feature was rejected 1/15/2017: I don't see any reason to remove non-threaded view. However, someone should feel free to resubmit Bradin's time idea.

Threaded view is the default way to view threads on the forum and reasonably so. Between the two modes of viewing, it's the more useful one, allowing users to see who's responding to who. The CYS forum format doesn't really work well with non-threaded, and there's nothing to really benefit from the alternative except to see what order posts where made, but there aren't a whole lot of uses for that anyways. We should have the option to have non-threaded view removed, and in order to make up for any potential losses, a feature that shows the time a post was posted could be implemented.

From what I understand, the threaded view is probably some sorte of branching tree view so people can quickly see who is replying to who, so I'm most likely the only one that finds it impractical. I use non-threaded view so I can quickly find the new posts and have them sorted by time.
I know that most of you hate people who use non-threaded view, but so far I see no reason to remove it. The site uses threaded view at the start and it can only be changed if the user wants it so, so it's not an annoyance to you. If it's not broken, don't fix/break it

Eheheh... Of course, I forget that not everyone on the site can isn't blind. Sorry.

Would you be in favor of the whole time posted thing I suggested, or would that be less convenient?

Understandable. I'm not saying this shouldn't be done just because of me and other blind people, there's only 2 of us actually active on the site currently, and even we bearly do anything. I do still think that the non-threaded view isn't harming anyone and don't see a reason to remove it.
As for the time, I do not understand what you mean. The time is already present, for example now when I am writing this, it says your post was posted 5 minutes ago. If you mean implementing the intire date, I guess we could do that, but I like the current system and it's practical enough. Or was it something else?

I like the time suggestion. It could be implemented as the title attribute of every post's "x minutes ago" div, so that the actual date it was posted shows up as a tooltip when hovered over.
