I just think it would be interesting if we could opt out of attaching our names to a storygame. Or ideally have an option that would hide and unhide the author at will.

I'm not sure how practical it would be from a programming perspective, but could current site infrastructure be used if there was something like an anonymousgames account, the way we have a deletedgames already?

The admins would need a way to track the actual author, of course, because something like this would obviously be tempting for certain kinds of members to abuse. But for contests especially it would be extremely useful and cool.

Why would you not want to put your name on a story you wrote? I mean I can only think of one reason, but it's not like porn is allowed here anyway.

Could be enforced by contest holders so that no one gets an unfair advantage due to name recognition. Look at how highly rated OMS is for an example of name recognition doing horrible inflation.
