I like this idea, but I am strongly against it. That sounds confusing, let me explain.
If were going to have preset parts to a game wemight as well have preset everythings. Stories, books, items (preloaded with pictures), character descriptions, etc. Also lets say you play a minigame and then its on the next game you play, and the next, and teh next. Through no fault of the authors, your rating is going to slide down just because you arent going to engoy the game as well.
Another aspect is as follows:
Cryptode has its own mimigames and they won it the contest!!! If they had been preset then Solostrike would possibly not have won. Solo is a AA specialest. (not alcoholds annonymous)(Afdvanced Editor). It woukd practically put him out of business.
Its kinda like if you gave everyone bread, then the bakeries would go under.
Also, these preset minigames can be part of a story (mattias -- in the village trying to get Adrian on your team) and can be incrediably fun to write.
Now let me guess what your gooing to say:
Solo (anyone) could still write their own minigames! They dont need to use the pesets:
True, True but if the presets are written in code by Alex then their probably going to be phenomenal! Is that something matchable by the AA editor? Without spending an unreasonable amount of time?
So solo might make his minigames bur wouldn't he get a lower rating? He might just use these presets. Thus taking the value from his game.
