The "greater than 50% rated" trophy seems to make sense, except when you realize that when it first came into effect, let's say, there were 100 games. So anyone that rated 50 has the trophy. Now, there are TONS of games, and the count will continue to get larger and larger.

What this means is twofold:

1) It gets progressively more difficult to attain the trophy as the number of published games increases.
2) Some members who attained the trophy no longer really deserve it.

That's right. Let's say I remained active since 2003, when I first found this site, and when the trophy became available, I rated the game. Since the trophy became available, I ceased to rate ANY games. I still have the trophy, but if you add it up, there's no way I rated 50% of the games!

My wish is that just as the trophy can be given, so can it be taken away. An update like this would encourage members to CONTINUE rating stories, particularly if they care about such things as trophies.

I'm pretty sure this will meet with violent opposition, but I can't see why it wouldn't occur.

im totally in support of this. and since i am the one thats 100% i think that is saying alot lol. yes, it would suck to lose that 100% again, but you know, if you dont 'KEEP' working for it you shouldnt keep it. just like the lucky dueler trophy. alex, please reprogram this.

It uses this behavior now, but for no reason other than it was easier to program that way =-)
