Must have been 3 or 4 years ago, I'm sure it was on this site too.

 

I can't remember much about it accept you start off choosing your variables, HP etc. The story begins with your character arriving at a creepy, mysterious mansion (I think for an interview with the owner but I'm not 100% sure on that one). Anyway, when there the character is attacked in the night and discovers that there is some sort of cult using the mansion for their own purposes. It was very good and you had to travel around the mansion looking for something (I think it was a key to get to the basement, or the password for the basement but again, not 100% sure on that).

 

Anyone know a story here that sounds like this one?

Wow - I've played 100% of the published games and don't remember that one (though to be fair, I don't remember all of them either)...

Wonder if it got unpublished and never brought back up...

The game he is talking about is called House of hell. I guess his question is not just limited to CYS only. The above mentioned title satisfies all his conditions. Roll dice, skill, stamina, luck. Your car dies near a mansion. You go in it and discover a creepy cult doing creepy rituals to revive a god-awesome-superbad-villian. And you task is to find kris knife, destroy the villian and escape with your life.....actually escaping with your life would be enough...

House of Hell is currently available on the ipad along with Forest of Doom, Blood of the Zombies and the first part of the Sorcery! series.

It is on android too.
