Hi, a bit of help please?

Hi!  I'm thinking of making a Zombie Apocalypse Story Game, but need help writing all the links and weaving through numerous pages.  Any advice from those who have finished a story game and how they kept going or how they kept the pages organized?

Thanks!

I draw plot trees on note-paper. Lines indicate choices - I usually right a word or phrase next to the line as an ID to distinguish the choices - and branch out. I'll write a summary for each choice on a separate page and file it under whatever ID I tagged it with on the plot tree.

If one branch circles back to another section of the tree, I draw a symbol and make a note of what the symbol means. Hope this helps.

I am horrible at this! I write maybe a hundred pages, out of sequence, on one long text document. Then have to organize them later...

To stop myself going mad I now try and use a numbering system, a very simple one.

If I am writing on a word document number the first page 1. second page 2, third 3 and so on. Then when you know you want to link a page literally write at the bottom link to pages 4 and 7. Then write 4 and 7. This way at least there is a traceable way to follow it through.

Other suggestions might help more though since as I said, I am terrible at this.
