Story game Category Question

If I was to make a storygame on the zombie apocalypse, which is based on part of a book I've read, would it be classified as 'Modern Adventure' or 'Fanfiction'? I am leaning towards Modern Adventure, due to a few reasons:

- The book is not well known and no fanfictions have been previously made

- The storyline I am using is not the main storyline of the book, it is a graphic novel that the characters of the book are obsessed about and are making a movie about

- My plans aren't exactly 'fanfiction' like

Can I just choose whichever? Or does anyone have any recommendations?

A story about making a movie about a story? I wouldn't call that fan-fiction. That would be like fan-fiction-fiction. I'd probably go with modern adventure.

Sounds safe to call it Modern Adventure.

So, it's better if I classify my zombie story to Modern Adventure? It's not that scary after all and it also has a great deal of modern combat.

As long as you give credit for the concept Modern should be fine.

Will it be scary? You could throw it over there in horror. Or heck, it could even fit in sci-fi since zombies aren't, you know, real.

That sounds pretty modern adventure to me.
