Can you explain where you are in the game? There are two points at which you encounter him.

If you mean the first time you see him (because in the second one you can't instantly die from what I remember), then maybe you could distract him somehow. If you had a shapeshifter, maybe?

Someone recently PM'd me about how to beat him the first encounter and I figured it out shortly after posting this comment, u use one of the shapeshifter twins to beat him
