I need help and (kinda)guidance

Okay, I'm a good writer. I have a lot of writing experience. I just am awful with re storygame format. I have a few ideas, and maybe someone can give me constructive criticism and/guidance .

One:

A kid gets adopted from a group home. After mornings of her parents finding her missing from her bed, but back by 4 AM, they finally confront her, causing her to tell her story and how her mother died.

I will elaborate if asked.

Actually, that's just one idea, but....

Please, do elaborate. It sounds like an interesting start, however ^^

So the kid was orphaned at two, lived on the streets until three, and then was rescued by her father, who died when she was seven. At nine she's adopted. However, her first parents were arrested for fraud, and she was stuck back into her parents. The next time she's adopted, it is her current parents. She has an adopted sister who they adopt a few weeks after her. The sister is You Get than her and jealous of the older girl's talents and capabilities in strategy and music. She also has a violin she was given before her father died.

Okay, you have her backstory down.

What's the story like though? The plot of it? Just she tells her new family about this story?

Not exactly. During her outings, she goes to an old property that used to be her home. One night, her sister follows her and finds out that her several homeless friends are living there. The older girl confronts her as they go home. They get in a fight, but an unexpected friend comes to the older girl's aid, even though she really dosen't need it. It's a boy her parents see watching the older's girl's window, like he's waiting to protect her from someone. Then she's kidnapped a few weeks later,on her way from school.

That will take a while. Also, what the heck is falafel? I know it's food.

They're middle eastern, like little bean patties you put in pita bread.

This comes up a lot, but plotting a story is really simple. (Although it's not at all like an RP just fyi so if your name is anything to go by you may have to unlearn a few things.)

The structure for most stories is pretty simple, as a writer all you really need to do is paint your characters and events over the framework.

A story is Setting & Characters > Conflict > Rising Action and Conflict Resolution > Falling Action and Aftermath. Just try to come up with ideas that roughly fit that framework and you should be good.

The only difference in a CYOA is you'll need to plan how to do the last half more than once, building new plots off the same characters and setting. So far, you've described one possibility, but you'll need several, or at least multiple ways to get to the ideal ending, with some ways to fail.

(Yes, I copy pasted the structure description from my post in madmax's thread. Don't worry, he ignored it completely so it's still nice and fresh)

I also wouldn't recommend writing a storygame directly on the site. Use a program like Word or Scrivener and just write each major path out directly before going back to add in side paths.
