Letting the site do the work

Why do the authors get to decide the play length description? One person's 6/8 length story is other's 4/8. Case in point, "Mattias the One Knight", by JJJ-thebanisher, and Blackwell's Diamonds, by ViolinAndDeerstalker. JJJ's story is 19,408 words long whereas Violin's story is 5,664 words long.

Since the site can count how many words there are in a story, why shouldn't it also set the story length description?

Or is that too hard to do for something not very important?

After a quick check, I have realized that I'm just a huge dumbass. Sorry for wasting your time.

Well, to be honest, the auto word count the site has isn't really that effective when it comes to scripts because it also counts the words in scripts...and if you have a script that loops over and over again...well then it makes your story length seem really long even when it's not.

True, though it does only count page scripts. Link scripts and global scripts don't conribute to the word count.
