Someone obviously cannot take constructive criticism... Nate pretty much summed up what i would say.
First of all it was a compliment, it was an overall positive comment. I want you to notice at the bottom of my comment "Well Done"
Second, You are not perfect, there were flaws in your game, dont come with excuses as to the comments people make on your game. My comments are for others to see, not only for you.
You make me laugh, if you restarted it then you know where to go AND you dont have to reread all the pages SO OBVIOUSLY ITS GONNA BE SHORTER!!
I restarted from the first chapter, i had no idea what link to choose, and im sure alex has records as to how far i progressed (by page id, i believe since scripting is now in place) so you can even check with him.
Because I already know what I need to know about this, I've settled my mind and I told you not to comment on it because theres no point filling your comment with stuff i couldnt care less about
Your not the only one who reads these comments, and it really is a game flaw, i was nice enough to give you a suggestion, thats called constructive criticism, your not a baby, you should be able to take constructive criticism, dont you think?
Oh yeah definintly, Celtic culture, King Arthur, tournaments, fights and weapons. Childish.. mhm. I mean comon ancient groups and a treasure "cube" is much more mature.
Your language and the storyline was childish, meaning you were childish, not the genre. Basically, you could have had a porn game but be really immature and make jokes about it, the genre is mature, however you are still childish. In the same way, you picked a mature genre, except the way you presented it was childish.
For the record, i said The Tower was better than Mattias, that is defined as a compliment... As to the attacks on my game--- Ancient groups hmmm well the Illuminati is one (da vinci code, lara croft, to name a few), the "treasure cube" was the device that carried the diamond, its a container.... (the cryptex, or codex or whatever in da vinci code is quite similar to this) It can also be associated with suitcases and money, suitcases hold the money just like the cryptode holds the diamond...
Because Cryptode isnt linear right. And Wal*Mart is not long... The only reason it TOOK YOU so long is because you obviously get stumped easy.
What is your arguement here? every person who played Walmart found it difficult, are you an exception? The walkthrough provided doesnt count, we (meaning the old timers) had no help at all for this game, thatguy was not helping us at all, and notice he never (when he was around) personally attacked a member for a bad comment on his game...
That Supposed to be an insult? Pretty danm feeble. Pfft a 6... Thats funny.
For a writer, you really dont understand english do you, i said this is your best game by far... you say, "pfft a 6" i gave my reasons for the 6, i dont need to go over them again, and i didnt pick through every page in your game to find bugs, these ones are all obvious, so im not even TRYING to find errors. It seems all you expect are 8's, your blind then to not notice that there were flaws in your game, so many flaws cannot result in an 8.
Do not say i expect 8's from cryptode, frankly i dont give care about the ratings for that game, ive stated that there is a bug at the end. That bug has affected my ratings, I do not fuss over those ratings.
Well, maybe you hadnt realised that the difficulty is only a six.. Plus money does not determine your score so whats wrong with having some extra funds...
I would ask that you read the entire sentence, "Just a suggestion." I care about how the difficulty is, im telling YOU that there is a bug at the Track as I had made 2000 by betting 7 times, sometimes my money doubled, sometimes it went up 5X and sometimes it was refunded to me... and in a way, money does seem to determine score because you need money for weapons and weapons help you fight enemies, which give you score after a victory. Its your game and you didnt realize that ?????
Yup cuz scripting was out when I published it right? (Actually it was but I was already 3/4 of the way done.. No point in changing it)
Scripting came out before you began the Tower. Here is how i see it, to enter this contest, you need to create a game between Oct 31 - Jan 31, well guess what, that means the earliest this game could have been started was oct 31, scripting came out at the end of summer vacation, that would be end of august, early september. So yes, you could have had better death scenes, instead you took an easy way out, and it proved to weaken the game. Which also leads to the question that if you did start this before scripting, is it eligible for the contest? based on the rules, no, however we do not know when it was published because your argument is skewed.
JJJ, i want to restate that it was a comment, it was based on credible facts. Comments are also based on an opinion, and therefore people have different opinions on different things, you cannot believe that your opinion is the best opinion, or then we would not be living in a democracy.
