Maybe this is the wrong place for this, but what exactly are we not allowed put in a story? I am aware that there's a ban on explicitly pornographic content (for good reason) but other than that, what's off limits?

One of the stories I'm writing is about euthanasia and Alzheimer's, and the other is a parody of Red Faction. I'm mainly concerned about the first one, but I'm not sure what the site's policy on parodies is for the second one.

As long as the parody is put under the fan fiction category I think it's alright, but I'd ask the mods for confirmation.

The first one could be controversial, but we don't delete things here for being controversial, only for being provocative for its own sake. If you make a reasonable emotional impact, and the subject is covered/played with tastefully, it should be alright.

It's obviously not going to be "kill the old people Lolz" and (assuming I present this correctly) it's not even going to comment in favor of or against euthanasia because the endings are sad no matter what you do, they're just a little different.

Done right, you can write about graphic violence and nondescript sex scenes. The only content we don't allow here due to its mere nature is porn and Warrior Cats.

Okay. I'm not going to run into those issues since I've never read anything warrior cats related, nor do I intend to write in any sex scene.

I did read that article before posting, but it was unhelpful since my question wasn't really about sex, violence, swearing, or characters that are in any context similar to pedophiles or nazis.
