Holy shit... Did anyone else read this? If I hadn't been able to guess the ending as soon as it was clear that Doodle had a palsy of some sort, I might have cried, ( I came pretty close to it even when I found I was right,) and I don't do that when I read text on a page, seriously!

Story about the WWI era, where a boy is born with a low degree of cerebal palsy. It's by James Hurst, and should be googled and read the shit out of.

I had to read it for school it's sad, but full of symbolism and a good message.

oooh! Doodle and stuff? that was good. I liked the part when it said "<whatever doodles real name was> was a name for a gravestone"

Symbolism was good, the ending was kinda iffy though.
