So i'm sad.

Why? Well, here we go:

So i'm reading Buttercup's Baby (the sequel to the princess bride) and it's at the part where Buttercup is hanging out with Westley, and she's totally implying "LETS MAKE BABIEZZZZ" and Westley is just playing it off like "Oh, really girl? Youse so cute" (well, he's just joking). Then it goes into about how Buttercup is a gentle only slightly afraid virgin, she doesn't know what to do exactly, and Westley, er, "Did other things at sea."

( O_O)

I was furious.

I mean, I KNOW Westley became Dread Pirate Roberts and that he's pirate doing pirate things and etc etc, but him being "wise in the ways" (LITERAL QUOTE) got me so upset. He always talked about how madly in love he was with her and how he thought about her everyday. Does that mean he pretended he was with Buttercup? Or was he just having sex with other women? I don't know why this bugs me so much. GAAAAAAAH.

I didn't read that book.

Yeah, Westley would never.  

Found a review of it online:

"I wouldn’t say that Buttercup’s Baby or Goldman’s increasingly irritating asides ruin The Princess Bride to me. I think I’ll just refuse to accept them as canon because this is totally a healthy, rational thing, right? The thing is, I don’t think I want to know what happened after the story. I don’t want to know more of Inigo’s backstory. The Princess Bride feels complete as it is! Does that make sense? It’s not like how I feel about Harry Potter, where I want every canon detail that has ever existed in the history of the universe. This is complete, and it’s dependable. Who’s Pierre? Why should I care about him? So I’m going to resolve to not care, and I don’t want to finish reading this."

Yes, I understand that completely. It was already wrapped up pretty well and then BOOM! More details! But it came with The Princess Bride, so I thought I'd read it.
