Hmmm ... we have places around here that give away books for free. Well, you have to Return them after you're done Borrowing them .... you don't have such places?

Well I meant common market books but yeah college books are expensive.

EXPENSIVE

yeah we have libraries but you have to order new books which takes up to six weeks.  IF you dont it can take up to 12 weeks for them to get them.  Plus all the best libraries have a small fee to get a library card.

$5 CAD fee for a library card and the fines are outragous, $1 per everyday late to a max of $10 per ONE item, so if i had 5 books out for 10 days, thats a $50 fine! its so screwed up!

EXPENSIVE

... and people wonder why I say that using the library is too expensive!

EXPENSIVE

hehe, you'd think that would be the best alternative but sometimes buying the book is better...

EXPENSIVE

If you had 5 books out for 10 days, and the limit is 7 days for free than you are paying $15.  Check your math.  I know a library that has a "free" day.  I can't remember if it's Sunday or Saturday.  Lucky me I went that day with 3 books that are overly fined (2 months late) and didn't have a fine.  Libraries aren't expensive if you are responsible.

Havvy, Havvy, Havvy. Did you not notice that solo was talking about C-A-N-A-D-I-A-N libraries?

EXPENSIVE

J * 9, Did you not notice the word late?  If you have responsibility, they won't be so [Radio Edit] expensive.

Havacoman have you ever maybe thought that JUST MAYBE its not someons fault if they are late.  Maybe lets say his library is twnty minute drive away and he cant drive. SO he needs his parents too and they are lazy.  Now he owes 50$.  Maybe you shouldn' be judgemental labelling people as irresponsible when really thees a chance its not ther fault.

Admit it, you were wrong.

EXPENSIVE

I only had to spend about $250-$350 for the whole year. But back to the topic, books cost HEAPS now. Could be compared to fuel prices. Which is going to become extinct first?

EXPENSIVE

haha, true!

EXPENSIVE

definintly fuel.

EXPENSIVE

I just realised.. books and fuel can't become extinct, they're not animals.

EXPENSIVE

haha it seems like the bottom line is this: its better to borrow SOMEONE ELSES books :P

EXPENSIVE

You can use books as fuel for a fire. or you can use fuel to fuel someones imagination to write a book.

EXPENSIVE

burning books isnt a good thing to do.... lol now were getting offtopic :P

EXPENSIVE

Ummm, erotic stories?? ahha you can get better ones of the IE id imagine BAHAHAHAH JOKING JOKING JOKING.

EXPENSIVE

from my point of view, id say yes, it would be okay to burn those, but here is the thing, if we were to allow CERTAIN stories to be burned, its basically hipocrocy (pardon my spelling) because another person my like those CERTAIN stories, so in reality, any book is not good to burn... or you could say any book is good to burn if you were going to burn books in the first place... keep in mind that its the first week back to school and its 1130 so if i sound like im rambling on...

EXPENSIVE

hahahah true BUT its only 8:30 here so il take advantadge of it.  OK well anyone has the right to burn any book they own. this means that theres no barrier in the first place. what should go first? erotic stories in my opinion.

EXPENSIVE

I'd just burn the books my little brother has.

Farting- ahahahah!! (note the sarcasm)

Wow, we don't have fees like that in Australia. I don't even have late fees for videos (special low price rental card).

EXPENSIVE

I don't know. My dad does all the videos and I don't go to the library. It's pretty cheap though. I think it's just a late fee of about $10 in the lower parts of Australia. I suppose it depends on what video store/library you go to.

I wouldn't go to England. A pound is like $25 or something.

EXPENSIVE

ahahha its 2.5 Canadian so like 3.3 australian

EXPENSIVE

o man, i cant wait till we (canadians) reach and exceed the US dollar! that would be sweet! of course, some locations like Disney World are offering canadians their trip/holiday packages at par to the US dollar, so its already begun! lol!

EXPENSIVE

Don't see why the US should get all the money. They have one of the most idiotic democracies* in the world. I reckon Australia should get further up there too. We're like the fifth or six most advanced and we only started up two hundred years ago.. If we keep climbing, there's no stopping. That is of course, if the Canadian dollar stops rising.

*I don't know much about politics.. don't make me look stupid by correcting me - please.

k its actually gonna be bad.
US supplies about 60% of oru trade, we supply about 10% of the american trade what htis means that if our dollar becoems too expensive and the ystart cutting trading to get it cheaper sonewhere else then were screwed.

EXPENSIVE

Then it is simple. Don't begin to cut trade.
