Finally! Deadpool is coming out next month, and I've watched the trailed a million times.

Here are my thoughts:

1. Ryan Reynolds is the perfect cast for Deadpool.
2. It's rated R, and I think this is the first Marvel movie that is rated R.
3. Trailer made me laugh. Hopefully that wasn't the only funny parts.
4. Colossus is in it! Awesome!
5. "Just don't make my costume green... or animated!" Did you get this?

Anyways, Deadpool is going to be awesome. Ideas?

Wasn't Howard the Duck rated R? I dunno, maybe not. As long as they get Deadpool's character right by making him a smart satire of comic books and nerd media and not just a loudmouth comedian like Spiderman without a swear filter, I won't have a problem. 

Nope, Howard the Duck was a PG movie and it contained bestality and duck tits.

Gotta love the care free movie ratings of the 80s.

I can't wait unt'll it comes out! I will definitely have to go see it in theaters. Does anyone know who the villain is, if there is a main villain?

I don't think a mercenary needs a villain in his first movie.

True, but for the sake of the need of a main antagonist, probably Dr. Killbrew.

I've seen Taskmaster popping up a lot in kid's shows recently, when he has hardly ever appeared before.

That would be just too perfect, though. I was thinking Striker at first, but he's appeared quite a few times in the X-Men movies, so probably the doctor that cut DP's heart out.

Heard rumors it was going to be Ajax, or some other fellow Weapon X monstrosity.

It makes sense that it would be Ajax.

I've known about the movie for a while, I'm looking forward to it.

*shrug* I was never actually a Deadpool fan, but I have a soft spot for jaded, fourth-wall breaking characters--provided they're sufficiently funny. "Only sane man" is a great trope when done right. I kind of want to see it, but I say 'kind of' because I don't have nostalgia goggles and I don't have high hopes.

I always thought his 4th wall breaking was due to his mental instability rather than being the "only sane man" thing. Sort of like how the Joker can do it too.

Besides being rather "meh" on superheroes in general, I always felt like they got to the point where they overused Deadpool. Sort like how they did with Wolverine, though I wouldn't mind seeing a movie based on the Old Man Logan story.

Well, he is the only Marvel character to acknowledge that he is, in fact, just a character.

She-Hulk used to do it quite a bit in the past. Don't think she does it quite as much anymore now that Deadpool is so popular.

I remember there was a conversation with the pair of them where she says that she leaves that to him nowadays.

And, as he was declared crazy by the people in his universe, you're right. But so is Deadpool, because his "delusions" are true. Technically a theory like that is only crazy if it's wrong ... so, he's sane, just not by the standards of his own world. 

Multiple personalities, voices, and hallucinations aren't the sanest things to have. He might've been sane at one point, but the sheer revelation/chemical imbalance has made him a mid-functioning schizophrenic.

... xD I will add, now, that I have never once read a full Deadpool comic. I did forget about him having other personalities, which, I assume are the voices you're referring to--unless he hears his _readers_, in which case, that falls under the same thing as his realization that he's not real. (And unless he's, like, seeing Elvis in his fridge, hallucinations sounds like it fits the same bill.)
 

He only hears the voices in his head, both of which are not readers, but rather personified text boxes. He doesn't see Elvis in his fridge, but it's a little bit on par with that. He once motorboated Cable because he thought he was a big-breasted fangirl, and he believes he's changed into a myriad of different costumes whenever the moment calls for it, despite the fact that no costume change was made. I mean, he has a bag of holding where he can pull things out of thin air, but he has to use his hands and euip things himself, so his alternate costumes usually aren't real.

And also the tumor doing a tango with his frontal lobe.

Eh? I thought he was cancer free.

Nope. The entire reason for his "problems" is a tumor that he developed before joining Weapon X. After gaining Wolverine's healing factor, the tumor could never kill him, but, as the cancerous cells also have the regeneration factor, the tumor always comes back, if not in the same place.

I knew he had it beforehand, I just had the impression that the process--while horribly disfiguring him--did "cure" him.

I guess it did, but more in the sense that it could no longer kill him, not that it was eradicated entirely.

Which is apparently a good thing, as if he does find a "cure" for his cancer, his cells will keep regenerating, possibly forming abnormal growths onto his body.

And I thought he had lung cancer?

I thought he was suffering from a terminal cancer of the everything.

I watched the trailer with my nephew last night, and it looked good. I'm looking forward to watching, although my nephew nearly cussed me out when I asked who Deadpool was lol!!

DEFINITELY a romantic comedy.

Personally looking more forward to Suicide Squad, but Deadpool should be awesome too ^_^
