Besides the ones on this website, what is your favorite CYOA book?

Mine would be Renegades of Luntar by Roger E. Moore

Heh, I actually owned that one. It was part of the Crimson Crystal books which used a red strip plastic gimmick to decode the big blots of red ink code. Never owned any more from that series and the gimmick didn't really add anything to the adventure.

If we're talking about actual physical books, I preferred the Fighting Fantasy books in general. The Golden Dragon Fantasy books were probably the next best substitute in similarity to those.

As far as the modern stuff, I prefer the Tin Man Games "Gamebook Adventure Series" which are pretty detailed in the world's lore as well as being well written along with being a good challenge. (There are 12 in the series so far)

Plus the company also does digital remakes of the old Fighting Fantasy books.

R.L. Stine had one in Goosebumps about a haunted carnival that was pretty fun. But I think I preferred the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles CYOAs.

The Goosebumps one with the Mummy was good. I swear I read it a hundred time though and never could survive the dang story lol.

The Fabled Lands series, no contest. Though tbh I've never had them in book form, they were pretty impossible to get ahold of for a long time there. There was some talk at one point of maybe having them reprinted but I'm not sure if anything ever came of it. Six of them are available right here: http://flapp.sourceforge.net/

IIRC the seventh exists as a PDF somewhere but was never added in properly.
