So after losing aIl my skins on a all or nothing bet on the lounge I decided to look on the Interweb for some free software to mess around with when I stumbled on the visual novel maker ren py. Turns out the people who made katawa shoujo used it and its pretty powerful engine to use thats also freeee :D. What sucks is that the langunge it uses is python and i spent like two months trying to learn c++ for unreal (which is also free :D) Anywho i was wondering If anyone else is using the engine since its simlar to what happens here.

Not just katawa shoujo- pretty much every visual novel these days uses it.
It's free, but you can use it to make freeware or commercial games.
hah yea, sucks that the forums for it are usually dead with only one person posting a day. But ill be looking for any projects to play around with.

2) I have actually used it, but since I can't art, what I have are 1/2 finished sound & story-only.
