A place to sit back, hang out, and make monkey noises about anything you'd like.

I got this game yesterday and jumped right in. Damn, it takes up so much time. It came out quite a while ago, in 2015. I am looking for anyone who might have the game, as we can co-op. I am Level 22, and my name is Small840801.

My review is:

The game itself is fucking brutal. Enemies will slice you to bits in a couple of hits, and seldom weapons can be found. The graphics are beautiful, looks so realistic. The gothic cathedrals and houses are carefully designed, and bring tears of joy to my eyes.

The weapon mechanics are pretty amazing and easy, my favorite part is Trick Weapons. Trick Weapons are melees employed in the right hand, used to hunt monsters. The coolest thing is that they can transform, changing the damage and attack rates.

Enemies are horrifying, the snarling teeth and bloody fur of the Scourge Beasts are terrifying. The corrupted townsfolk are fun to smash into giblets, and can be a fun battle. Although, the damn Cleric Beast boss is pretty creepy. I finished him off, and gore followed, bringing bloody satisfaction.

In all, I rate this 4.5/5 stars, exactly the same rate MetaCritic rates it. Two stars for graphics, One star for weapon mechanics, One star for amazing world, and one star for intense gameplay. Sadly, I just minus .5 for the brutal gameplay. The enemy difficulty is fun, but is fucking frustrating at times. You must be really good at video games to have even a slight chance at this game. I wouldn't call myself good, but I beat the first two bosses. Ah, the horror.

Anyways, does anyone have it?

You got the game yesterday and you're already Level 22? I haven't played much Bloodborne, so I'm pretty unfamiliar with the leveling system, but that sounds like bullshit.

Believe me. I've been playing for like, forever. Injuries contain me inside. What system do you play Bloodborne on?

Oh, and btw I got that high because I've had help. And I also grind.

Do you know how to level up?

Oh my God..........fine.

Have you played the game/own it? Even if you don't want to play it'd be nice to chat about it.

Eh, I guueeeeeeeess it's feasible. You could always get some help in Co-Op to earn x2 Blood, and if you don't constantly die and are actually good at the game, on top of playing non-stop, you could make it to level 22 IN THEORY.

Bruh, why would I lie to you guys? No point if I play with you and I'm not 22. Swear, check my player out. I'll try and transfer a pic of him if you want.

If you get good at killing the big guys, you can get enough souls blood echoes to get to all kinds of levels in everything, especially if you're just spending them all over the place based on what you can afford right then and not based on what you probably should be spending them on. I mean, everything respawns, so it's pretty much infinite exp, and there's some pretty big cash cows you can exploit, like executioners, the guys that shove you in sacks, or the hordes of little, less harmful enemies near the beginnings, etc.

Yeah, I feel you there.

I kept replaying the Cathedral Ward to earn big souls echoes. My character inventory is as follows:

Armor: Complete Hunter Set (First available armor from the messenger vendor)

Items: You expect me to list them all? Pfft, I'll do it later maybe.

Right weapons: Hunter Axe; Kirkhammer.

Left weapons: Hunter Pistol

Not much detail, but I think you can get a grip of my character.

How's your build looking so far? You might want to switch to the Kirkhammer if you're willing to compromise between the extremes of really fast but weak and really slow but capable of literally 1-hit-killing most hunters in PVP, or even some in-game hunter bosses if you get the right upgrades. Hunter axe is probably way more balanced and easier to use, but I don't know too much about either weapon, since I've been working mostly with the saw cleaver. But I have been completely rekted by more kirkhammer wielders than any other, honestly.

My build is pretty basic. I have it geared towards vitality the most, although I remember from the top of my head I have 16 strength and 10 skill.

The Kirk is pretty powerful, especially in hammer mode. The Hunter Axe got me through the first "stage" all the way to the Cleric Beast. It is perfect for the first area, in my opinion. You can swing it 360, slam it, and slice it. The 360 is only available when the weapon is transformed, though.

EDIT: What weapon do you prefer?

If you plan on going with Vitality in the long run, you should probably stick to that axe. I don't have much experience using either one, but I like the axe in the campaign because it's easy to cover your ass and you don't have to rigidly adhere to a particular fighting style/process to wreck shit with it, and you don't usually get instantly boned in the ass for your mistakes, which is why I also like the saw-cleaver. The Kirkhammer, though, is great if you're willing to specialise in strength/endurance, and you're good at dodging and parrying/have enough mad skillz that you don't make mistakes that often, you should take up the kirkhammer. You can quickly finish off any low-health enemies without any long charge-up or fuss, and YOU can be the guy who completely fucks someone/something in the ass whenever they make a mistake. The thing about PvE, though, is that NPC enemies don't really make 'mistakes'. They do exactly what they're programmed to do without error, and you have to find/create your own opportunities. The axe is great for people who're just looking for opportunities, and the kirkhammer is great for people who knows how to read their oponent, how to get them to open up, and for how long they'll be open. If you like to improvise, then the axe is your bag. If you want to hone your Batman capabilities, then the Kirkhammer will allow you to consistently damage, keep enemies at a safe distance, and rain instant 500+ damage on your foes.
