This is on sale until the 20th for under 2 bucks. I played it earlier today and feel like some of you might really enjoy it. It's a pretty simple to play narrative focused indie game, you can reach the end in 4-5 hours assuming you're diligent about advancing the plot.
At a glance it's one of those "cozy" farming games. You play an old woman named Talma who has spent her life on this isolated little farm. The outside world is indicated to be industralized and even a science fiction reality, but you are
clearly not meant to be in any kind of hurried frame of mind given the relaxing music, pleasure of the simple tasks, and the pace she moves at. There is this very soothing routine of collecting eggs, petting and milking your goats, making cheese, and some light resource management--Talma needs to eat, and can trade farm products to the peddler who stops by daily with a few items for sale and her mail, the only human connection in her isolated existence.
There are landmarks with memories attached, and a few collectibles. But this game has no achievements, no win condition. It's definitely more about the experience.
At a certain point, the tone of the letters you're receiving from your family begins to shift. (I don't want to give away spoilers here, but you'll know it when you see it.)
I'm still processing the experience and will need to go back to dig for any details I missed. And I really really don't want to say any more than this, but I hope some of you will check it out and let me know what you think.
(Fair warning, I would describe the ending as melancholy and bittersweet, but judging by Steam comments it might be a little bleak and depressing for others. And there's apparently some minor variation possible depending on some of your actions.)
