I've seen a bunch of people get points on their birthday, and then they get taken away. What's the point of that?

For the lols.

But it used to be a thing where everyone got 15 points for their birthday, but since we don't like a nanny state around here, we implemented it so nobody got free points anymore and then had an automatic tax thing to take away all the points that had been given in the past.

It's like how we used to have the "Daily Free Point". Everyday there was a button you could press to get a free point. Did away with that welfare too.

I've looked at some points out of boredom a few times, sometimes (kinda often ish) they take more points then was given

True. Checking points is also a very effective way of learning if someone's in SHAME or not by seeing if they got the SHAME tax that I didn't know existed until I saw it on TheCanary's profile.

Why would you get SHAME taxes for?

No idea, there's just admin penalties labled "SHAME tax"

People were becoming too casual about getting tossed in the PIT OF ETERNAL SHAME, now there are sometimes penalties and if you flake on a contest there's a fee to enter the next one.

    Every person I've ever seen that is decently active and isn't brand (exept for Mizal, Sherbert, Endmaster, and a few others) new is in SHAME. It's insane, like look at the PIT OF SHAME list! There's so many people in there!
