No, he did it deliberately. He can write better crap.. he just doesn't put effort into anything unless forced to, like at school. Even then its about characters like Officer Blockhead.

He said he felt like writing a story and then he didn't, but he wanted to publish what he'd done (which was too short, so he added the wait for it part). I said, "They're all going to hate you." but he went on and published it.
